The consultants within the threat intelligence team supported a client with personnel on the ground in Mexico during a period of heightened unrest caused by cartel-related activity earlier in the year. Working alongside the Crisis Consulting team, who were advising on travel arrangements and potential exit plans for employees, we provided fast-time intelligence and assessments on the evolving security situation.

This included analysing the threat environment in the vicinity of client sites and accommodation locations to identify any hostile activity, targeting or disruptions that could affect travellers. In addition, we monitored developments across multiple platforms and sources to provide up-to-date information on travel routes and recommend safer alternatives based on the changing threat landscape.

Throughout the incident, we maintained proactive monitoring and continuous intelligence collection in order to provide timely updates on the operating environment. This enabled decision makers and crisis management teams to assess emerging risks at the earliest opportunity and make informed decisions regarding the safety and movement of personnel.
