Case Study

Support to a client for the Crisis Management team

When:
2026
Where:
UK
Services involved:
Threat Intelligence

We were requested to assess the exposure of a client located in Northern Ireland to Political Violence (PV) perils, specifically Sabotage and Terrorism (S&T), Strikes, Riots and Civil Commotion (SRCC), and Malicious Damage.

The Process

Using our intelligence platforms, we analysed PV data covering the previous three-year period to identify geographical hotspots and trends in Northern Ireland, including incident type, threat actor, weapon type and temporal trends for each peril.

We also identified incidents of S&T, SRCC and Malicious Damage over the same period that specifically targeted the client's sector, providing in-depth analysis of the dominant and emerging threats facing businesses operating within that industry.

The Result

Our findings allowed the client to understand its level of exposure to PV, identify potential shortcomings in its insurance coverage and take steps to mitigate future financial losses.
