Exhibition Theft and Criminal Investigation Support

Our client, a UK-based specialist jeweller, reported the theft of high-value exhibition items following a scheduled display, with the incident believed to have occurred at a public house where the items had been taken post-event. The theft presented immediate financial loss and reputational risk, with limited clarity surrounding the circumstances and potential suspects.
AnotherDay was instructed to provide rapid investigative support, secure available evidence, and assist in establishing a clear and reliable account of events suitable for law enforcement action. At the outset, information was fragmented, with multiple witness accounts providing inconsistent versions of events.
Our investigations team undertook structured evidence gathering, including the obtaining of witness statements from individuals present at the time. Through careful analysis and comparison of these accounts, we identified key discrepancies that raised questions regarding the accuracy and reliability of certain narratives.
In parallel, we developed a detailed timeline of events, mapping movements, interactions, and access to the exhibition items during the relevant period. This enabled us to consolidate conflicting information into a coherent evidential framework, highlighting critical gaps and points of interest.
All material, including witness statements, timeline analysis, and supporting evidence, was compiled into a comprehensive evidential package. This was prepared to a standard suitable for criminal proceedings and formally passed to law enforcement to support prosecutorial action.
